Our New Addition and Valentine's Day

As stated in my last post, we have a new addition at our house! I'm sure you instantly thought of a baby in the human sense, but she's a baby Min Pin. We got her on Sunday, February 8, and she has just turned 8 weeks old. She went about 24 hours without a name, but we finally decided she looks like a "Lizzy". We love her so much already and have only had her for a week. She is just too cute and so sweet until she starts barking during the middle of the night. :) I think we've probably just spoiled her during the day by holding her so much and now she wants to be held during the night too. I'm sure she'll get adjusted soon though. We love having her at our house, but Gypsy (our other dog that is 5) thinks otherwise. When Lizzy first came home with us, Gypsy would snap at her or actually bite her. Gypsy got in trouble quite a few times for that and now she just runs from her when Lizzy comes near her. I guess that's just the best way to avoid getting into trouble! We're hoping they'll make friends soon because we really don't like having to guard their every step to be sure they don't cross paths. Any way, she's really cute isn't she?
David and I decided we wouldn't buy each other anything for Valentine's Day this year. We've been working really hard trying to pay off some debt and just didn't want to spend that extra money. And, keep in mind we'd just bought ourselves a new puppy a week before, so I guess we actually did buy each other a gift after all. Friday night we had a Valentine's banquet at church. We had a really great meal and devotion and then watched the movie Fireproof. This is one that I definitely added to my list of all time favorites. We had already seen it once, but it was just as good this time. Saturday, David and I just stayed around the house for a while and then went to visit my grandparents and parents for a little while. We decided to go eat Chinese later that afternoon, before the Valentine crowd started, and then spent a quiet evening at home. Sunday was filled with church services both morning and night and in between we went to the mall for a while. Overall, it was a great weekend. I love those weekends like this one that aren't packed with so many things to do. Sometimes it's nice to just stay home and relax and enjoy each others company.
Just out of curiosity, have any of you done the Fireproof "Love Dare"? If you have, how did it go? I really want to get it so David and I can try it. There's always room for improvement in a marriage and I think it would be really great for us.
